Kid-less Weekend...

If your kids were at gramma and pawpaw's all weekend, what would you do? Well, Nick and I decided to go through toys. At least, that was the main goal...we did accomplish some other things like eating out, painting 2 rooms (actually just primer), watching a movie, eating out, cleaning, eating out some more, etc. We had a good time. :) Here's a snippet of what we accomplished this weekend...

BEFORE:

That is what Trevon's room looked like after we took the toys from all over the house and dumped them on his floor.

AFTER:

We'll see how long this lasts. :)

We also found this in a closet...(Nick looked like he was going to pass out while blowing it up) Trevon said, "Mommy, it can't drive. I want it real!" Guess he'll have to wait a few more years for that. :)

It's a...

To make a long story, short...Nick and I decided to find out the sex of our baby. Only we didn't find out at the time of the ultrasound. We had the tech put it in an envelope for us to open on my birthday. (We also weren't going to tell anyone we had found out...I know, we're liars) Then I had the bright idea to let Nick look early and then buy something gender specific for me to open. He wasn't supposed to let me know when he looked b/c I knew it would be torture for me...and it was. Friday, I figured out that he already knew and it nearly drove me crazy all weekend. So I talked him into celebrating my birthday tonight instead of on Monday. Here's what I got to open...

IT'S A GIRL!!

I can't tell you how excited we are...not to mention a little nervous! I thought Nick was playing a joke and had to check the ultrasound picture to make sure. :)

This is Riley, my precious nephew, that I get to watch every Friday.

Funny story about the sweater vest...
Nick dressed Deagan that morning and we later realized that was the very same vest Trevon wore for his first Christmas when he was only 3 months old. Deagan is 18 months old...might I say, Trevon was quite large as a baby.
