a new dress...

A recent purchase from my very talented friend, Sarah, who has been making adorable dresses using old pillowcases and selling them for a good cause. You can check out her blog for more styles and ordering information if you're interested. I think they're so cute...and with the elastic top and straps that tie, these dresses can grow with the child.

disclaimer: please ignore the fact that baylor is sick, just woke up and had been crying...her expression here does not reflect her opinion of the dress. ;)

spring is here...right?

Last night I took down the snowflakes that the boys and I made this winter, that were hanging on the kitchen window. Trevon was upset so I told him we needed to make spring-y things to hang up. So, after hours of playing outside, we did some crafts before bed.

the finished products...deagan wanted a black flower and a black butterfly. then he decided he wanted an orange "yircle" b/c trevon had a black one. (if you haven't heard him talk much, his 's' sounds are y's...it's pretty cute.) :)

gotta love when daddy gets new toys...

Nick got a new exhaust for the Evo about a month ago and this HUGE box has been upstairs in the loft. It has served many purposes...like a gate for the top of the stairs, jungle gym, etc...until the boys have slowly destroyed it. Here's what they came up with today. I know we should have been outside, but they are having a blast!

p.s. the video is better, but it's too big to upload on here. :)

snow bunnies...

The boys get to ride on Uncle Frank's snow mobile...

the girls stayed toasty warm in the house. :)

blogger slacker...sorry

I haven't been very good at updating the blog...obviously. :)

We got a foot of snow on my birthday (which I wasn't thrilled about). But the boys loved it. I finally broke down and took them outside for about 25 minutes that first day...then had to bribe them with hot chocolate so they'd come in. (I think Trevon would lose a finger to frost-bite before he would come inside on his own.)

all bundled up

trevon's first snow angel... (deagan's wasn't recognizable)

they were so excited to get the snow off the jeep...

pretending to 'off-road' in the snow...just like daddy used to

deagan wanted to make his own tracks in the snow...i kept telling him it would be easier to follow mine. :)

hot chocolate...as promised

Baylor snuggled in her carseat (she didn't get to play in the snow but i didn't want to leave her out)

new sport

Here is a video of Trevon and Braylon wrestling on Christmas Day. They were both having a great time...fortunately for Deagan, Trevon doesn't seem to remember and hasn't clobbered him unaware...yet!

After the 'match', we all said good job and I told Trevon to shake hands...instead of 'shaking' Braylon's hand, he started waving his own hands...it was very funny. I wish I could have gotten that on video. :)

Christmas

Christmas was really fun this year with the kids. Trevon only opened 2 presents before he was supposed to and Baylor enjoyed playing with (eating) the wrapping paper. Deagan seem a little overwhelmed with the whole thing. :) We started the morning out at our house with our immediate families and then headed to the farm with my mom's side. Here are some pictures from both get-togethers.

This is what the kids woke up to...
Good morning, sunshines!
At the farm:
the great-grandkids...Deagan, Hallie, Braylon, Alden, Trevon & Baylor
(missing: riley and briggs)
Sara & Rebecca holding Hallie & Baylor
We finished out the night with some Rock Band...

the kids crashed after a long and fun day.
